HR Advisor

What will you do

The HR Advisor is a member of a small HR team consisting of an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor Development, Senior Recruiter, HR Advisor/Payroll Accountant, and part-time HR Assistants. Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Advisor contributes to strategic and tactical HR initiatives while providing support on a wide range of operational HR matters.              

Responsibilities

•  Monitors, identifies, and analyses relevant internal and external developments and trends within the HR field.

• Works closely with the HR Manager to maintain, review, and update existing HR policies and to support the development of new HR policies and initiatives.

• Translates business objectives, organizational strategies, and external developments into effective HR actions, programs, and initiatives.

• Provides expert HR advice and guidance to managers on HR policies, employment legislation, employee relations, performance management, promotions, talent development, and long-term absence cases.

• Ensures compliance with compensation and benefits policies, employment legislation, social security regulations, and other relevant labour laws and regulations.

• Reviews, develops, and recommends improvements to HR policies, procedures, and systems, while supporting their consistent implementation across the organization.

• Works closely with the Payroll Accountant to ensure employees are compensated accurately and in accordance with applicable benefit plans, employment agreements, and company policies.

• Maintains the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee data across all HR systems and ensures HR records are kept up to date.                                                 

What we search for in you

We’re happy to hear from professionals with a Bachelor degree in the HR field and 5/10 years of relevant working experience. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.

• Practical experience in a generalist HR role;

• Ability to relate at all levels (management, team leaders, employees and consultants);

• Strong project-, people- and organizational change management skills;

• Good knowledge of best HR practice;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Ability to work independently, but also as a team player;

• Living in the Netherlands.

Who are we

We focus on the on- and offshore production of oil and gas as well as the operation of two underground gas storage facilities. The latter are strategic assets in the reliable provision of gas in the Netherlands. Their importance will only increase in the coming years as the greater dependence on gas imports will mean domestic storage becomes key to maintaining security of supply.

The energy landscape in the Netherlands is changing, and TAQA is supporting the energy transition in two key ways: we are contributing to continuity of gas supply in the short-term as the transition agenda moves forward. We are also participating in large-scale sustainability developments such as hydrogen and green gas expertise center Investa and Porthos, a CO₂ capture and storage project.
